Your privacy is important to Send-Say. This Privacy Policy that explains how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your personal information. By using our software application (the Application) whether you access the Application through a website, mobile app, or custom integration, you agree to the collection and use of your personal information as described in this Policy. Collection of Personal Information

Personal information is data that can be used to uniquely identify or contact a single person, manage your account and mail your cards.

We collect personal information required for performing the functions of the Application. We may ask you to provide your personal information when you register for an account, or when you purchase or send a greeting card. We may also ask you to provide the personal information of others, to whom you wish to send a card, by allowing us to access the contact information you store on your phone or in a file that you upload.

What Personal Information We Collect

When you create an Account with our service, purchase a greeting card, or participate in an online survey, we may collect a variety of information, including your name, mailing address, email address, contact preferences, credit card information, and mobile device identification number.

When you send greeting cards to others using the Application, we may collect the information you provide about those people such as name and mailing address, and we may supplement incomplete information by accessing publicly available data where available.

How We Use Personal Information

We use the personal information you provide us as a return address on any greeting card you purchase.

We use the personal information that you provide us when you register to keep you posted on our latest product announcements, software updates, and upcoming events. It also helps us develop, deliver and improve our products, services, content, and advertising. If you don’t want to be on our mailing list, you can opt out anytime.

We use the personal information you provide us to send reminders of upcoming dates you have indicated are important to you (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.).

From time to time, we may use your personal information to send important notices, such as communications about purchases and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies. Because this information is important to your interaction with us, you may not opt out of receiving these communications.

We transfer credit card and account information (with SSL encryption) to third parties for processing but do not retain any of this information. All personally identifiable information collected during a credit card transaction is stored securely by these third parties and subject to their Privacy Policy. We do not store credit card data on our servers. We will also collect and retain the e-mail addresses of those who elect to communicate with us via e-mail, and other information that you may occasionally volunteer to share. As is common practice, we log visits to our Web Site on an aggregate basis. A log entry related to a visit typically contains information such as the browser type used, the visitor’s Internet Protocol address, URL of the last site visited and the date and time of day visited.

We use the card recipient’s name and address as the destination address for the greeting card you purchase. We may contact you or a third-party provider to confirm the accuracy of the mailing address information. We may also use the card recipient’s name and address for internal auditing, quality assurance, and to provide customer service.

Our servers automatically collect information regarding your usage of our Application, in order for us to bring the service to you to provide customer service and to maintain and improve our Application and products and services.

Cookies and Other Technologies

The Application may use “cookies” and other technologies such as pixel tags and web beacons. These technologies help us better understand user behavior, tell us which parts of our Application people have visited, and facilitate and measure the effectiveness of advertisements and web searches. We treat information collected by cookies and other technologies as non-personal information.

From time to time, we may make certain personal information available to service providers that work with us to provide our products and services to you. Personal information will only be shared by us to provide or improve our products, services and advertising; it will not be shared with third parties for their marketing purposes.

However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, software code (including any open source software that we may use), or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the personal information we have collected from you. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption on all web pages where personal information is collected. To make purchases from these services, you must use an SSL-enabled browser such as Safari, Firefox, or Internet Explorer. Doing so protects the confidentiality of your personal information while it’s transmitted over the Internet.
